Reading a star wars novel

Many star wars fans are skeptical to the expanded universe. I won't blame them, because I was that as well. I didn't really understand how they could write down star wars on a piece of paper and make it feel like star wars. It wasn't really before i learned that disney would make a new trilogy that i really got my eyes up for the expanded universe.

I started to listen to the Thrawn trilogy by Timothy Zahn. It consists of three books: "Heir to the empire", "Dark force rising" and "The last command". This is by most EU fans considered as the sequel trilogy that never made it to the screen. It is written in a beatiful and artistic way I didn't know was possible, and the audiobook is read to you by Mark Thompson. He does a fantastic job with every single character! Especially the famous Chiss Grand Admiral Thrawn. I'll post a link to the first part of Heir to the empire.

Hope you find this enjoyable and my next post will be the first character post! This will be about one very important person in these novels. Until then, may the force be with you.
